Many herald AI as a powerful tool that will reduce labor costs and democratize knowledge \u2014 others are concerned with the risks and potential accountability gaps arising from this technology\u2019s use. In this presentation, Tiernan will ask: if AI can make decisions and act autonomously, who, if anyone, should be criminally liable for harms caused by AI?<\/p>\n<p>Marc Tiernan is a PhD researcher at the University of Amsterdam with the Rethinking Secondary Liability for International Crimes project.
