\u200bOver the past year, the Israel-Gaza conflict has provided a disturbing preview of the impact of AI on the future of warfare. AI systems are particularly deeply integrated into Israel\u2019s air campaign, including through mass surveillance, the selection and tracking of targets, and decisions about where and when bombs should be dropped. The automation of these functions raises serious questions related to accountability, human rights, and the role American technology companies in facilitating potential violations of the law of armed conflict. This panel will discuss how AI has shaped the conflict over the past year, how these developments implicate the relevant legal and human rights standards, and what this means for the future of warfare and human rights.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
